Kumu Hula Kahekili Ursua (Larry)
BIO
Kumu Hula Larry Kahekili Ursua is a revered teacher of traditional Hula Kahiko and ‘oli dating back to 900AD. He has trained extensively for over 30 years with John Kaimikaua, in the disciplines of Ho’oponopono, Aha ‘Aina (Symbolic Foods), Kilokilo (Star Gazing), Spiritual Counceling.
There are only a few core students in Kaimikaua’s life with whom he shared this knowledge. The knowledge was given to John first-hand by his Kumu, Kawahinekapuheleikapokane. In recent years, Larry began a halau to perpetuate these Ancient Ways.
Kahekili majored in Pacific Island and Hawaiian Studies at Brigham Young University. Currently he is employed with Family Support Hawai’i as a Father Facilitator using Hawaiian Core Values.
